An agreement made by Soundexchange and 3 major music webcasters AccuRadio, Digitally Imported, and radioIO nearly halves the rates set by the Copyright Royalty Board. This means that the per-performance rate of a large webcaster in 2009 is set to 0,00093 opposed to the regular 0,0018 fee. The license agreement is offered to all webcasters. Deadline for signing up for the license was August 17.Â
Could this mean that Pandora will be back on the air in Europe?? I hope so.
