Youtube has created a localized version of its service for Senegal. The object is to promote local content on the service. The agreement has of course involved the local collecting society.
In many years it has been prophesized that Africa would skip landline telephones and go directly to mobile. Now many African countries are exploring streaming services thereby skipping the old-fashioned TV. It will be exciting to see the effects of this agreement
