Get your university patent licenses for free

Via my good friend Malte I came across a tech trans article on Tech Dirt. University of Copenhagen is now offering its patents for free to people who can show a plan of how to turn the IP into profit within three years. The easy Access IP project is spearheaded by UK universities but KU is the first non-British to join.
The Danish University currently has 4 patents available for licensing through the Easy access IP system.
It is a very interesting initiative since many universities struggle with commercialization of their IP. This way you encourage use of research and create new jobs. Furthermore the corporation between universities and businesses will hopefully provide some god experiences for both worlds.
