Peer-2-patent goes Australian

I thought it was only the Americans who were experimenting with letting experts examine patent applications. However, it seems like the Australians are well under way with their own project. The project works like its American counterpart. The Peer-to-Patent Australia pilot project will involve the review of up to 40 business method, computer software and related applications. The pilot will run for a 6 month period.

Currently 112 peers are discussing the submitted patents and prior art.
